Protect seeds for the future
In 2024, we transformed our urban backyard into a 6,000 square-foot market garden dedicated to providing food for our family and local community. Through our community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, we delivered weekly fresh produce to 12 families in our first season, using regenerative farming techniques and focusing on growing rare heirloom varieties.
Our mission is to support food local sovereignty in the City of Detroit, empower aspiring urban farmers by offering accessible, comprehensive, data-driven education and resources. Our market garden serves as a center of activity, research initiative, and a rare seed archive. We are committed to being a land-based research project that practices both earth care and community care by sharing high-quality, sustainably grown food as we document our journey on social media to inspire and educate.

“Fast rather than slow, more rather than less - this flashy "development" is linked directly to society's impending collapse. It has only served to separate man from nature. Humanity must stop indulging the desire for material possessions and personal gain and move instead toward spiritual awareness.
Agriculture must change from large mechanical operations to small farms attached only to life itself. Material life and diet should be given a simple place. If this is done, work becomes pleasant, and spiritual breathing space becomes plentiful.”
