Cultivating deeper roots with local Food

Our story

We started KB Gardens combining our knowidge of gardening and engineering. We wanted to of help our friends and community turn lawns into lush food forests and pollinator gardens.

In 2024 started a market garden with a CSA farm share program supplying food to ten local famillies, and planting over 100 heirloom varieties of heirloom veggies, fruits and flowers.

We have partnered with Bees in the D & The Detroit Pollinator Center to begin clean-up on four empty city lots at 14th Streetwith the goal of rehabilitating the soil into a workable urban and pollinator garden.

We are committed to organic food farming as we look to mitigate the disastrous impacts of aclimate change that are unfolding. We want to show that growing our own food and building tight knit community is the way to lead ourselves away from distroying our planet and into the future that we wish to create.
